Identifying the Enemy of all the People of Earth!
Who is Behind all these Abominations, and what compels them.
SATANS PLAN OF DAMNATION displayed within The Solar Nature Temple of Babylon in ROME, even the antithesis of Yah's Holy Sanctuary in ISRAEL. Yahweh calls this ancient enemy the "ABOMINATION causing desolation". (plan of damnation requires all adherents to violate at least ONE of the Ten Commandments as "policy & procedure."
this is a great video (on left) and it stands to reason. His interesting point (here, above video), which evidently astrological (+) MARK signifies more than a charcoal cross "on the brow", being an indicator of the whole situation; as a matter of fact I am convinced what constitutes this MARK are the very signature doctrines of the traditional idolatrous beliefs/doctrines of Romanism in the minds and hearts of these idol worshipers; which traditions are from the antiquity of Babylon. The history of the solar cross is substantial. And it would not surprise me in the least that the Mark upon Cain's brow, the mark of a killer, was a cross, which remains in Babylon a mark of the baby Killers of the Solar Temple of Baal, who burned children alive in the fires of Molech, (and possibly nowadays likewise?). The CROSS, Cain's mark, is the killers mark; nevertheless the prophesy specifically indicates a NAME as the MARK (Rev.---).
Why did Baal's ancient priests kill babies for solstice rituals? The people slew their firstborn in the fires of Molech in order to propitiate their deity; but if we know the answer to why the priests did it, we might figure if they are still inclined to this practice, in their astrology-based high solstice rituals nowadays? Would not effigies do, as in sympathetic magic, which also is sorcery, "like creates like"? Babylon's minions slay millions of our kids throughout modern history, so what else is new, killer society. And so the Bible lays the blame for killing all, in the earth, at her feet. (Rev.19:24; 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.).
(Did the story of Cain (hence cross on forehead?) inspire the original idea of this killer society, though his seed was wiped out in the flood; but may have flourished in the times before the flood, thus causing wholesale wickedness?; but this concept of a killer society was born in Babel, from Satan through Semiramus (at least, and probably in her attempt to maintain hold on the reigns of power after her king-husband died--applying deification to her husband and thus her son, and herself likewise as the Queen deitress of deities which were many in superstitious Babylon--with his knowledge of Cain)... hmm???
Starting with the name of the Antichrist, who is Tammuz of antiquity even the "savior of Babylon", as Jesus or Iesus of Rome, the "Mark is his NAME", and the cross goes with that name, identifying this idol-deity. This idol deity just so happens to be a TREE spirit, I would venture it can only indicate the worship of not just any old evergreen tree, but in the Mysteries, it can only represent that particular original Tree in Eden, from which the Serpent enticed mother Eve to eat, the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil". Duh. Upon which evergreen trees, pine or oak, which had the mistletoe (Fraser's Golden Bough), were sacrificed human beings in antiquity (this is why Yah had Gideon chop down his father's oak grove, where these human sacrifices of "asherah" -abomination-were done on trees-you see, human sacrifice is a high ritual in Sun Worship).
plus the signature doctrines, firstly of the DEIFICATION of the CREATED Human Being. This main detail of Solar Temple doctrines is that their deity is a flesh and bone HUMAN BEING (and a biscuit). You can find this doctrine in all anti-christ bodies, they all espouse that Jesus is the deity. But the Bible tells us that Yahshua is NOT the deity, but is "the beginning of El's Creation" i.e. a CREATED human being. Any antichrist church will put you out if you say "Jesus" was created and is NOT The deity. Try it. This is their achilles heel, exposing them ALL: and Atheism does this same thing, likewise, deification of the temporal human being.
Secondly, the doctrine of the First Day of the Week Rest or Deis Solis, "venerable day of Sun."
and the TRINITY doctrine of three equal Deities which doctrines the subjects of Rome must embrace, signifying the deity of the Sky, of the Earth, and of the Underworld.
IN FACT EVERY SINGLE TOP DOCTRINE OF ROMANISM all violate Commandments, this is nothing more than Satanism: an astrological Satanic Cult of the First Order, lording it over all civilizations throughout history, even burning babies alive in the most distant times of antiquity: throughout the 7 Civilizations of History, including pagan Rome; thereafter, modern Rome being the Last of these, *(actually 8 = the 7th split in two, one long lived templar period of 1260 days=42 months; the other shorter, palatial period, which is not strong--as clay mixed with iron, being brittle).
Each signature doctrine of Romanism is designed by Satan to violate one or a few of the Ten Commandments of Yahweh (Law of Life/Conscience): each signature doctrine of Romanism does this. Satan is just putting us all on, laughing at them all for falling for it lock stock & barrel, how well he understands the weakness of the carnal temporal mentality of human beings!
Romanism Violates Name & Sabbath, in direct opposition of the scripture where it says, quote,
"And I saw, and behold!, the Lamb, standing on the Mount Zion, and with him an 144000, having his name, and the name of his Father, written upon their foreheads" (Rev. 14:1) and... ("who keep the Commandments of Yahweh" *)
"He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth NOT is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of El. (John 3:18)
This is Satan's Plan of Damnation. Satan wants us to swallow the whole baloney, having his glory by tricking the worldly into a feaux-faith which violates all of Yah's Commandments and causes his followers to blaspheme the name of the Almighty Yahweh and His Son Yahshua: having the wrong name and the wrong commandments, being opposite to what is true & good, indicating the WORLDLY POWER which is the Lesser Authority and Much carnal Religiosity.
2.Thessalonians 2:3-4 Paraphrased
"Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because that day will not come, unless there first comes a falling away [departure from the faith], and the Man of Sin is revealed, who is the son of perdition. This is the one who opposes and exalts himself over everything being called God, or object of worship, and he is to sit in the temple of God, as God; in order to show that he is a god"
Rev.19:24; And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Rev. 19:1-3; And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. kjv.
Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues!
Reject the Alien Slaver, and separate yourselves from him, and embrace
Yahshua of Nazareth, King of the Jews
and support the People of Israel
lest Babylon's Plagues and Rome's Curse remain upon you and your household.
Forsake Rome, city of doom!
Stand With Israel, eternal city of the Prince of Life

WHAT IS THE RELIGION OF BABYLON, SUN/NATURE WORSHIP SINCE ANTIQUITY?
Ralph Larson's Baptized Paganism
edited by StarNet
Introduction
The controversy over religion started with Sun-worship. In our study of "Baptised Paganism" we will begin with the Origin of Sun-worship, then trace the History of Sun-worship, and finally point out the Place of Sun-worship today. And believe it or not, Sun-worship today is not only found in Paganism, it is likewise found in Catholicism and in Pseudo-Protestantism (ed. note: bearing vestiges of Babylonian paganism, is thus rendered pagan).
Origin of Sun Worship:
1. Isaiah 14:12-15; "Lucifer, the 'day star': Dictionary says "Day Star" is "the Sun." Lucifer, the 'Day Star' wanted to be worshipped, started a rebellion in heaven, (Rev. 12:7-9), cast out, came to this Earth; Adam and Even succumbed to his subtlety, (Genesis 3:22-24); They were driven from the garden, and they worshipped at the East Gate of the Garden, with backs to the Sun. Later Satan deceived people into facing the Sun, and even worshipping it as the Deity.
2. "Sun worship was the earliest idolatry." Biblical Encyclopedia, AR Fausset, page 666. "The sun was worshipped by the ante-diluvians," ppp. pg. 91. Paul says, "they worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator." (Romans 1:25). And the Flood came and took them all away.
History of Sun Worship:
Counterfeit Plan of Salvation (i.e. satans plan of damnation/ed) came into existence after Noah's flood; basic Sun Worship; three characters involved in this plan:
Nimrod, Gen. 10:8-10; Who was Nimrod? Husband of Semiramis: a priest-king (or pontifex-Maximus), instigator of Sun Worship, founder of the original religion known as paganism and builder of the Tower of Babel. "Babel" means "confusion." Isaiah 51:7, Religion of Babylon spread to every nation. Nimrod, known as Bel - Marduk, Ra, Surya, Sol, Baal, Apollo, and many other names. How do we know the Babylonian religion was built around Sun-worship?
(1.) Temples, sun carvings, sun statues (graven images), sun domes, etc.
(2.) Devotion to the sacred Bull, in Babylon; Bull was a symbol of Nimrod, or the Sun-God. (for instance, Apis Bull sects in ancient Egypt/Crete)
(3.) Many things dedicated to the Sun: Sun-House, Sun-Gate, Sun-Horses, Sun Chariots, Sun-Images, Sun-Worship, Sun-Day, (see Jeremiah 43:13/2 -- Kings 23:11 -- Job 31:26-28).
Nimrod is called "the father of the gods."
Semiramis, wife of Nimrod: a wicked and adulterous queen, worshipped in Shady Oak Groves (read "Golden Bough" by Fraser: oaks significant of "evergreen" trees) -- amidst scenes of lust and debauchery. Known as Astarte, Cybele, Diana, Venus, Ashtaroth / Ashtareth, Easter / Ishtar, and many other names. Called the "Mother of the Gods" and...
2. The "Queen of Heaven." (Judges 2:13) Israel "served Baal and Ashtaroth," or Nimrod and Semiramis. "Noted for her wisdom, beauty, her voluptuousness (i.e. fertility), but particularly as the mother of Tammuz."
Tammuz, the False Messiah ("Usurper"): son of Semiramis, and supposedly the son of the Sun god, (reincarnated) Nimrod, known as Bacchus, Osiris, Mithras, Vishma, /etc. (referred to as the Savior of Babylon)
His supposed Miraculous birth, on Dec. 25, the winter solstice. This is why we celebrate Christ-mass, an ancient pagan inheritance.
Why trees?, holly?, mistletoe? ("golden bough"), Santa Clause?, etc.? (read Jeremiah 10:3 to 5--about idol sculpting and worshipping).
What should be our attitude towards Christmas?
Story of Tammuz (birth, death, and 'resurrection'=actually "reincarnation") is nearly identical with that of Messias. (as a "counterfeit" or "usurper")
What about the "Feast of Tammuz?"
Why Easter?
Death & 'Resurrection' of Tammuz;
Lent (Ezekiel 8:4);
Hot cross buns (Jeremiah 7:17-18; 44:18-19).
Religion of Babylon:
This was the religion of Babylon: the religion of Paganism. Ancient Babylon became a great empire (of "gold" according to Daniel's dream). In 538 BC. Babylon was conquered by the Medes and Persians (Cyrus the Great); today ancient Babylon remains a desolate waste (with it's crumbling "high place" of Marduk/Bel=Baal).
Ancient Babylon fell as the biblical prophets predicted (Isaiah 13:19-21, Jeremiah 51:26-7). But her superstitious system of pagan religion, i.e. Sun-worship, has conquered and poisoned Christendom and the rest of the world, having survived the millenniums of time.
After the fall of Babylon, the Chaldean Magi fled to Asia Minor, and history tells us that Pergamos became their religious headquarters. The Bible calls Pergamos "Satan's Seat" (Rev. 2:13). There we find the famed "Temple of Asclepius," the great "Alter of Zeus": and also the "Temple of Agustus," dedicated to the worship of the Roman emperor as "Lord & God" (priest-king/god-king) or "pontiff-king."
In 133 BCE, the religious headquarters were merged in Rome, and the Roman Emperor then became pontiff-king, or pontifex Maximus, in Pagan Rome. Under Constantine who was a devotee of the sun-god before professing to be a Christian, pagan customs became Christian customs; and pagan practices, pagan ceremonies, and pagan festivals were permanently adopted into the Christian religion. (why StarNet is compelled to differentiate betwixt Nazarene~ Christians and Catholicism which is paganism)...(and "pontifex-Maximus" became Pope's "holy Roman Emperor").
Place of Sun Worship Today:
Where did worship of the Virgin Mary come from?
Not from the Bible, but from paganism (astrology based sun/nature worship/ed).
Where did the idea of the Mass come from?
Not from the Bible, but from paganism.
Where did the Sign of the Cross come from?
Not from the Bible but from paganism.
Where did the Rosary come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism.
Where did Purgatory come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism.
Where did the teaching that there should be Monks and Nuns... come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism.
Where did Infant Baptism & sprinkling come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism.
Where did the false concept of a so called 'Immortality of the Soul';
the supposedly 'Conscious State of the Dead';
and the concept of an Eternal Hell; all come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism.
Where did Sunday observance come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism.
Where did the plural-deity concept of the Trinity come from?
Not from the Bible, but from Paganism. (see below)
There is abundant evidence to show that all these things and many other unmentioned rites and rituals came from paganism.
A comparison of Pagan Theology, Papal Theology, and pseudo-Protestant Theology, shows that popular Christianity as it exists today is largely what the historian called it during the Dark Ages, saying, "*Christianity as it existed in the Dark Ages might be termed Baptized Paganism." Wharey's Church History, page 24. (Catholicism is NOT Christian-ed)
Conclusion:
Rev.14:8; Yahweh's last warning message: This is talking about apocalyptic Babylon, i.e. Modern Babylon. Holy Writ saith, 'she' is a woman: prophetically a woman represents a church assembly (Jeremiah 6:2; Isaiah 51:16). A fallen church is following the traditions and commandments of men. Yahshua says, vain worship (Mark 7:7-9). Yahweh's call to His people everywhere (Rev.18:1-5) is to come out of mystical Babylon, to flee from it; to forsake it; to follow plain and unadulterated Bible teachings (i.e. Saving Truth; even to remove the Abomination).
Cardinals, or Priests of the Hinge: The name "Cardinal" was given originally to the Pope, but now it refers only to those who assist him in opening and closing the doors of Janus. Thus the Pope's grand council of State which assists him in the government of the church came to be called the College of Cardinals.
The Cross: the papal cross is the cross of paganism. It is the grand charm and the universal sign of Catholicism. No prayer can be said or religious service performed without the sign of the cross. It is used in applying the 'holy' water at the entrance of the church, again before being seated and again before turning the back on the altar to leave. None can pass the altar without the sign of the cross (pointing to each shoulder and up and down over the heart).
The Pagan Cross is an outgrowth of nature (or creature) worship. It was originally the symbol of a Tree which represented the Life and Generative principle of which the Sun was the supposed source. The tree with it's cross or lateral branches, and the branches again crossed, represented Life & Generation. The Maltese cross with the circle is a double emblem of the pagan sun-god. The cross was worshipped by the pagan Celts, and also in Mexico for ages before the Roman Catholics set foot there; archeological discoveries show the temples of Egypt, including the temple of Serapis in Alexandria, were marked with crosses; also, on Egyptian mummies.
Crosses have permeated paganism for eons. (see TOP video above)
The 'Sign of the Cross' was the 'mystic Tau' of the Chaldeans and Egyptians, the true original of the letter "T," the first initial of Tammuz. The mystic 'Tau' was marked in baptism on the foreheads of those initiated in the mysteries, and was used in every variety of ways as a most sacred symbol; called 'the sign of life,' used as an amulet over the heart, marked on the official garments of the priests, born by kings in their hands as a token of their supposed divinity. The vestal virgins of pagan Rome wore it suspended from their necklaces as the nuns do now. (evidently the nuns came from the pagan tradition of vestal virgins/Fraser/ed.).
The Christian Cross is the symbol of Death, not of Life; it is not found in the early church as it did not enter the early church for several centuries. This cross is a worldly symbol of the death-cult.
(*ed. note: about usage of the word "tree" as opposed to "cross"; some are compelled to disdain the usage of "cross" in the New Testament references to the post upon which Yahshua was crucified. Certainly, even as history attests, for their morbid crucifixions in that sort of terrain, the Romans actually did use stakes made from trees, without the wasteful crossbar so popular in Christendom's lore. Nevertheless considering the history of crosses, traced back to rituals and relics associated with Tammuz of Babel, it really makes no difference which, "tree," "stake," "post," or "cross," as all are significant of the pagan "asherah" or "sacred stems" i.e. "sun-pillars" of ancient paganism. Thus, metaphorically, our Savior having been crucified upon that which is significant of humanity's infamous sun-pillar symbol, is significant of his purpose thereupon, even to free us all of the uncivilized "Great City Babylon," to bring us home into his civilized New Jerusalem./starnet.
Christmass or Christ's Mass, 25th day of December: On this winter day was held one of the leading pagan solstice festivals in honor of the birth of the sun god. This was the birthday of Osiris, the son of Isis; it was called 'Natalis Invictae Solis,' the birthday of the unconquered Sun, it being the period of the winter solstice when the sun first begins to regain it's power. It was the birthday of the sun god Mithras (of Crete). Burning of the "Yule Log" was the (symbolic) death of the sun god (in the person of the spirit of the tree = anthropomorphic nature deity), burned on the evening of Dec. 25, ...it was supposed to reappear with rejoicing on the next day, the birthday of the Sun-god, in the form of a young tree, loaded with presents. This pagan event entered the Christian church with the act of Julius 1, who presided as pope or bishop of Rome from 337-352 AD.
Messias was not born in Winter:
Luke 2:5-8; Shepherds abiding in the field, It is a historical fact that the shepherds never do this after the October rains set in. The Palestine winters are quite severe. See Matt. 24:20; The shepherds would not keep the sheep out in the open all night in this time of year.
Luke 2:1-5; This tax applied to all the Roman Empire. Traveling was then difficult even under the most favorable circumstances. Because of this, the religious festivals were all held in the spring and summer. No Roman Emperor would have issued such a decree in the winter.
Messias was born about the end of August, or the beginning of September.
The Confessional: Of pagan Origin; the Babylonians had to make confession to a priest before initiation into the Chaldean Mysteries. Every effort was made to frighten the worshipper into making a complete confession which gave the pagan priests complete power over them. One of the gods of Babylon was represented as having a pair of balances in his hand by which he weighed the deeds of men, to determine their destiny.
The pagan Trinity (kmyoung(c)01-7):
Three Deities of the so called 'Godhead'
In the ancient Sumerian pantheon of nature deities, there were three major gods (or deities) who ruled their entire pantheon.
The Head, or first, was called "Anki" or "An," who was considered to be the ruler of the Heavens, even the father of all deities; but this one became obscured by the fame of;
The Second head of their pantheon, who was called "Enlil" and by the Sumerians actually was referred to as a "Prince of the Air," an earth & air deity who reigned under the heavens (under Anki)... (read Samuel Noah Kramer's "Ancient Sumer");
The Third and not the least, was the 'powerful' "Enki," ruler of the Underworld, the Sea, and the Dead. He reigned in the waters beneath the Earth.
These three pagan deities were the original "trinity" or "triune godhead" of ancient Sumer and all Mesopotamia, and the Mesopotamian and Sumerian peoples made images of these, and served these images (howsoever).
Now in Yah's renowned Ten Commandments which He wrote with His own "Right Hand" (by Yahshua to whom Holy Writ refers oftentimes as Yahweh's right hand or arm/ed), the Second Commandment clearly states:
"Thou shalt have no other Elohim (Hebrew for "mighty ones") before Me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them."
Such is the command of YHWH against idolatry, i.e. against the practice of pagan polytheist religions, and the worship of such. This Second is a very specific Commandment, pertaining to the ancient pagan "triune godhead" of the plural pantheon of nature deities of Mesopotamian antiquity:
"In the Heavens above" is a direct reference to Anki, who's domain was considered to be the heavens;
"Or that is in the earth beneath" undoubtedly refers to Enlil, the earth-air deity, who's domain was considered to be under the heavens, even under Anki's domain; and...
"In the waters beneath the earth" undoubtedly refers to Enki, his domain supposedly being under the earth, under Enlil's domain, in the sea, the underworld, the "waters beneath" the earth.
And so this Second Commandment is singularly and specifically against the idolatry of the "triune-godhead" concept of pagan polytheistic origin, (read "the Two Babylons" by Hislop, at least in part). Because of Yahweh's 2nd Commandment, we must not interpret any scripture through the eye of a pagan concept of plural deities (polytheism).
Last but not least, there is the biblical passage of Yahshua's (Matt. 24:36), and I quote, "But concerning that day and hour, NO ONE knoweth, neither the messengers ("angels")...., NOR the Son, SAVE THE FATHER ONLY." Now if the Son really is the Father "in the flesh," and divine, how is it he DOESN'T KNOW "that day and hour," if "ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS IT?" If Yahshua really is the Father, then he WOULD KNOW that "day and hour," absolutely! Or what part of "ONLY" don't we understand? Simply, as Yahshua is NOT the Father, therefore he does NOT himself, know this time or day/hour, for "only the Father" knows it. If Yahshua WERE the Father Deity, himself, he'd KNOW IT, of a certainty. Absolutely. (end kmy quotes).
The only place the OT mentions any Trinity of deities is in the Second Commandment under "thou shalt NOT"...

The Head, or first, was called "Anki" or "An," who was considered to be the ruler of the Heavens, even the father of all deities; but this one became obscured by the fame of;
The Second head of their pantheon, who was called "Enlil" and by the Sumerians actually was referred to as a "Prince of the Air," an earth & air deity who reigned under the heavens (under Anki)... (read Samuel Noah Kramer's "Ancient Sumer");
"In the Heavens above" is a direct reference to Anki, who's domain was considered to be the heavens;
What is this Sabbath of SUNDAY
as opposed to Yah's 7th Day Sabbath?
Sunday is NOT the Sabbath!
(anon/probably by a Seventh Day Adventist)
Sacred Names restored and Abomination Removed if necessary for purpose of identification of Iesus of Rome as opposed to Yahshua of Nazareth (by ed).
This article is intended for those who may think that Sunday is the Seventh Day, or Sabbath Day, which the Bible designates to be set aside for the worship of God. It is quite surprising how many people actually think this. They generally assume that since Saturday and Sunday are the "weekend", that Monday must be the first day of the week because it is their first work day of the week. This would then lead you to believe that Sunday is indeed the Seventh Day...
Read the following papal encyclical, you might think that Sunday is the Sabbath?
(quote)"
Making Sunday Holy:
248. Allied to what We have said so far is the Question of the Sunday Rest.
249. To safeguard man's dignity as a creature of God endowed with a soul in the image and likeness of God, the Church has always demanded a diligent observance of the third Commandment: "Remember that thou keep holy the sabbath day." (52) God certainly has the right and power to command man to devote one day a week to his duty of worshipping the eternal Majesty. Free from mundane cares, he should lift up his mind to the things of heaven, and look into the depths of his conscience, to see how he stands with God in respect of those necessary and inviolable relationships which must exist between the creature and his Creator.
250. In addition, man has a right to rest a while from work, and indeed a need to do so if he is to renew his bodily strength and to refresh his spirit by suitable recreation. He has also to think of his family, the unity of which depends so much on frequent contact and the peaceful living together of all its members.
251. Thus, religion and moral and physical well-being are one in demanding this periodic rest, and for many centuries now the Church has set aside Sunday as a special day of rest for the faithful, on which they participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the memorial and application of Christ's redemptive work for souls.
252. Heavy in heart, We cannot but deplore the growing tendency in certain quarters to disregard this sacred law, if not to reject it outright. This attitude must inevitably impair the bodily and spiritual health of the workers, whose welfare We have so much at heart.
253. In the name of God, therefore, and for the sake of the material and spiritual interests of men, We call upon all, public authorities, employers and workers, to observe the precepts of God and His Church and to remember their grave responsibilities before God and society. (end quote)

Some Catholic Catechisms will even give one the impression that Sunday is the Sabbath. The following quotation is from the Catholic Baltimore Catechism 1, popular in the United States for the last century or so, intended for the instruction of children. It blurs the distinction between the Sabbath and Sunday: (StarNet ed, notice the RCC made the second commandment against idolatry disappear, here, making the fourth commandment into the third?)
(quote)
Q. What is the third Commandment?
A. The third Commandment is: Remember thou keep holy the Sabbath day.
Q. How are we to worship God on Sundays and holydays of obligation?
A. We are to worship God on Sundays and holydays of obligation by hearing Mass, by prayer, and by other good works. (end quote)

The following Catholic catechisms also boldly state that Sunday is the day commanded to be kept holy:
Q. Say the Third Commandment.
A. Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day.
Q. What is commanded by the Third Commandment?
A. To sanctify the Sunday.
Q. Which is the chief duty by which we are commanded to sanctify the Sunday?
A. Assisting at the holy sacrifice of the Mass. (end quote)

[pg. 276]
...
II. THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD
Q. Why are the Ten Commandments called the commandments of God?
A. Because they were given to us by God himself on Mount Sinai.
[pg. 277]
Q. Which are these Ten Commandments?
A. They are contained, in substance, in the following verses, which may easily be committed to memory:
1. One God alone, for evermore
By faith, and hope, and love, adore.
2. Thou shalt not take his name in vain.
3. The Lord's day thou shalt not profane.
4. Honor thy father, and thy mother.
5. Thou shalt not hurt nor hate thy brother.
6. Thou shalt do no adultery.
7. Thou shalt not steal.
8. Thou shalt not lie.
9. Thou shalt have no impure desire,
10. Nor to thy neighbor's goods aspire.
...
[pg. 278]
Q. What does the Third Commandment require?
A. It requires us to attend divine service on Sundays and Holydays, and to spend those days in devotion and good works.
Q. What does it forbid?
A. It forbids all servile labor done without strong reasons of necessity, charity or devotion. (end quote)

[pg. 112]THE THIRD COMMANDMENTRemember thou keep holy the Sabbath Day.
Q. When was the Sabbath instituted?
A. From the creation of the world; for then God blessed the seventh day, and on it rested from all his works.
Q. When was this commandment renewed?
A. In the old law, when God gave the commandments of Moses on Mount Sinai.
Q. Why was the Jewish Sabbath changed into the Sunday?
A. Because Christ rose from the dead, and the Holy Ghost descended on a Sunday.
Q. By whom was it changed?
A. By the church in the Apostle's time.
[pg. 113] ... O Christian soul, God, as Lord and Creator of all things has a sovereign right to demand our service at what time, and in what place he shall ordain, remember, that as your God and Creator, he has appointed one day in the week to his service, and this day is Sunday, or the Sabbath day. (end quote)

Note the abbreviation of the Sabbath commandment in each of the above catechisms which declare that Sunday is the day to be kept holy. But the commandment declares the seventh-day of the week (Saturday) to be the Sabbath day, not Sunday the first day (See below Exo. 20:8-11). Rather than explain how the church has changed a commandment of God, some Catholic catechisms simply abbreviate the commandment, and then teach erroneously that Sunday is the Sabbath day intended by the commandment. Others attribute the change to the Apostles, or, in the case of The Poor Man's Catechism cited above, boldly state that God has Himself appointed Sunday to be Sabbath day.
And then there are also some people who will suggest that somehow we have lost track of the days of the week, and that today, no one can be sure just what day is the seventh day of the week. Those who wish to cling to this notion have never actually researched the issue to discover the facts. So then, when was the sabbath begun? When was the first sabbath observed, on which day, and who was it intended for?
The First Sabbath Keepers
Gen 2:2 And on the Seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and He rested on the Seventh day from all His work which He had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the Seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested.
The very first Sabbath was the Seventh day of Creation. Look up Saturday in most any dictionary and it will tell you that it is the Seventh day of the week. So who observed the first Sabbath day?
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them.
Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Both Adam and Eve were created on the sixth day, before the Sabbath day, and so were present to observe the day of rest God created for them. Some will try to claim that the sabbath was a Jewish festival, part of the Mosaic law that was done away with at the cross. Since sabbath was established at creation as a memorial of that event, would that notion then make Adam and Eve Jews? Actually not a single Jew existed until the covenant made with Abraham, thousands of years later. The sabbath predates Jews!
Mark 2:27 And he [Yahshua] said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath:
Mark 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath.
So the seventh-day Sabbath was created for Adam and Eve, and all of humanity, not just for the Jews. Adam lived for 930 years (Gen 5:5), and probably was a Sabbath keeper his entire life. Adam was not the only one of the first millennium to keep the Sabbath. The same can be said for Enoch, who was born within the lifetime of Adam.
Butler's Catechism, previously cited, gives the following information about the Sabbath later in a different section:
(quote)
Q. What divine traditions existed before Moses wrote the first books of the Old Testament?
A. The duty of sanctifying the Sabbath (Gen. ii. 3); the prohibition of eating the blood of animals (Gen. ix. 4); the rite of circumcision (Gen. xvi. 10); and generally, the whole history of religion before the time of Moses, during twenty-five hundred years.
Q. What traditions of the Christian religion existed before the several books of the New Testament were promulgated or written?
A. The substitution of the Sunday, as a holy day, for the Sabbath, or Saturday; the abrogation of the necessity of circumcision, and generally, the whole system of the Christian religion. (end quote)
Source: The Most Rev. Dr. James Butler's Catechism, revised, enlarged, improved, and recommended by the four R. C. Archbishops of Ireland, published in New York by P. J. Kennedy, 1886, page 58.
So in this instance, a Catholic catechism not only admits the change from the Sabbath to Sunday, but it even claims that it was the duty of mankind to keep the Saturday Sabbath beginning with the seventh day of creation!
Sabbath Keeping After the Flood.
The Patriarch Abraham, who was born some 1000 years after the death of Adam, and 300 years after the flood, can also be shown to have kept the seventh day Sabbath:
Gen 26:5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Clearly since Abraham kept God's laws he must also have faithfully kept the seventh day Sabbath of Yahweh.
Moses and the Jews Before Mount Sinai.
Before the Commandments of God were given on stone tablets atop mount Sinai, God had already shown Israel precisely which day was His Sabbath:
Exo 16:23 And he [Moses] said unto them, This is that which Yahweh hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy Sabbath unto Yahweh:
Some may think that any old day will satisfy God, but Yahweh left no doubt about the day he wanted observed, he told Moses and the Israelites exactly which day was the Sabbath. For 40 years a double portion of manna fell on Friday, and no manna fell on Sabbath. Note that this began BEFORE the Ten Commandments were given to Moses on Sinai. The manna continued until the Israelites entered the promised land (Exodus 16:35, Joshua 5:12). With 52 weeks a year, that means God made the seventh day sabbath plain to them for over 2000 weeks. It is a day that does matter to God.
Mount Sinai.
Note that at Sinai the following was said with regard to the Sabbath-
Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahweh thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahweh blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
When Moses came up on Sinai, God commanded that the Jews were to REMEMBER the sabbath day. The sabbath was not first revealed to Israel on Sinai, they were told to remember what they already knew in no uncertain terms.
Will Just Any Seven Day Cycle of Rest Satisfy God?
Some may ask, one day in seven? Well, why can't I pick my seventh day? Sunday is more convenient for me, or perhaps Monday, etc., so that will be my day of sabbath rest to the Lord. I will keep every seventh day holy, but that day will be a day of my choosing. The notion that God allows one to pick their seventh day has even been taught by Catholics:
(quote)
1157. Did not God command us to observe Saturday, and not Sunday at all?
No. The command as given by Moses in the Name of God to the Jews was that the Sabbath, and not Saturday, should be kept holy. The word Sabbath means rest. The law includes two elements; one essential, that one day in seven should be dedicated to God; the other ceremonial, that the particular day should be chosen. The Jews selected Saturday. ...
1159. ...
... The Jews decided to observe Saturday, while Christians decided to observe Sunday. The seventh day as God's day was not changed. The Sabbath, God's rest day, was transferred from Saturday to Sunday. (end quote)

The problem with the choosing-one-day-in-seven theory is that it has no foundation in scripture. As we noted above with the 40 years in the wilderness, God clearly designated a specific day as His Sabbath. Israel was never given a choice in what day they wanted to keep holy as the Sabbath day. The entire community was to keep God's designated day in unison as a memorial to creation week. No one had the prerogative or authority to decide to start keeping some other day as their Sabbath. Note the reaction when some of Israel decided to look for manna on the seventh day Sabbath:
Exo 16:27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
Exo 16:28 And Yahweh said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
By not resting on God's designated Sabbath day, the law and commandments of God had been broken!
Exo 16:29 See, for that Yahweh hath given you the Sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.Exo 16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
Note that it is emphasized that Yahweh had given the Sabbath. Neither Moses or Israel had picked the day they wanted to observe, they were told specifically which day of the week to keep holy. Keeping it is a sign of loyalty and love for our creator. Breaking it is the sin of rebellion, because it is breaking the law of God. No one has the authority to choose the day they will observe as the seventh day. God did not just institute a seven day cycle, He blessed and sanctified a specific day as holy. But there is a choice involved. Either you choose to keep God's seventh day Sabbath, or you choose to break His commandment by not keeping it, (although this choice may indeed have been made by many in ignorance.)
So, just how do we know which day is the Sabbath of Yahweh?
Has The Seventh Day Sabbath Been Lost?
Ask most any Christian what day of the week Yahshua rose from the grave and they would answer that it was a Sunday, but when the issue of the seventh day Sabbath is raised, some Sunday-keepers will express doubt about which day is the Sabbath. The following is an excerpt from a sermon (Program C4029) given by Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel - Costa Mesa on Sunday, July 2nd, 2000, which tries to maintain this uncertainty:
(quote)
"What is the Sabbath day? Well, in our calendar the Sabbath Day is Saturday. Sunday is the first day of the week, Saturday would be the seventh day, or the Sabbath day in our calendar. We cannot be certain, however, with all of the changes that have been made in the calendars through the years, that what we acknowledge today as Saturday, or the Sabbath day, is the same that they observed in the time of Moses, or thereafter. We're not certain, as far as what day of the week actually is the seventh day." - Pastor Chuck Smith. (end quote)
Excerpt: Doubt About The Sabbath - (Real Audio, © 2000 Chuck Smith)
Since this is coming from a relatively well known pastor, the question has to be asked, just who is the "we" spoken of. What reputable authority can be cited that will confirm that "we" cannot be certain which is the sabbath day? And exactly which calendar change is responsible for losing the seventh day of the week? When did this happen? On what verifiable information is this based? He does not say. No facts are offered, only an unsupported assertion. Just because Pastor Chuck Smith does not know which day is really the seventh day sabbath, does not mean that "we", and he, cannot be absolutely certain about the day. If some effort to study the matter is at least attempted, the true seventh day can indeed be known.
Look at most calendars. Sunday is normally shown as the first day of the week, and Saturday as the last day of the week. (Recently some business calendars are being printed with Monday as the first day, confusing the issue somewhat.) Virtually any dictionary will also confirm Sunday is the first day of the week, and Saturday is the seventh day of the week. If there is uncertainty about one day, are not all similarly in doubt, including Sunday? For nearly 20 centuries the resurrection of Jesus has been celebrated on Sunday. How do we know that resurrection day was on a Sunday? Can we be certain of that day?
Was Sunday the Resurrection Day?
Mat 28:1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Mark 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
Luke 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
Luke 24:2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
John 20:1 The first [day] of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Yahshua lay in the tomb on the Sabbath, and the Sabbath ended at sundown, (as does every day according to the Bible). The women came to the tomb at dawn the following day (the first day of the week) and discovered that the tomb was already empty. Clearly then, the resurrection occurred after the close of the Sabbath at sundown, yet prior to sunrise on the first day of the week. Sunday was indeed the day of the resurrection.
Now, Sundaykeepers seem to have no doubts or problems when it comes to their keeping the first day of the week, the day of the resurrection. However, when it comes to the previous day, the seventh-day sabbath, suddenly there is talk of calendar changes and doubt that we can really know the correct seventh day?
Yahshua Knew and Kept the Sabbath Day.
Since Yahshua "made the worlds", he knew exactly which day was the genuine seventh-day Sabbath -
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Yahshua himself was a keeper of the seventh-day Sabbath. Now, if the Jews had somehow lost track of the Sabbath day since the time of Moses, Jesus would have certainly corrected them, but this was not necessary, since they were already observing the right day. As this establishes a firm reference point in history, it remains for the skeptic to try and prove that the Jews, and the rest of the world, somehow collectively lost track of the seventh day Sabbath in the 2000 years since the time of Christ, a period which is very well documented.
The Gregorian Calendar Reform
Sometimes people will say the calendar reform in the Middle Ages must have altered the weekdays as we know them, so we cannot be sure which day is the seventh day. Again people that think this have not researched the issue.
The calendar reform of 1582 was initiated by Pope Gregory XIII because the calendar established by Julius Caesar, was not accurate and stable. This was due to the fact that the Julian calendar added a leap day every 4 years, without exception, and this resulted in adding too many days than required for an accurate solar calendar. The Julian calendar had commenced the 1st of January of the 46th year before the birth of Christ (the 708th from the foundation of Rome). At that time the Spring equinox fell on March 25th, but because of the Julian calendar's inaccuracy, it had gradually drifted earlier over the years to March 10th or 11th by 1582. This error was important to the Catholic church, because under the solar Julian calendar, the date of Easter (the most important date to the church), was gradually creeping farther and farther (earlier and earlier) away from the time of year set by the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D., when the equinox fell about March 21st. Easter was then to be observed by Roman Catholics on the first Sunday after the full moon occurring after the Spring equinox, except when that coincided with the Jewish Passover, in which case Easter was delayed to the following Sunday.
To correct this perceived Easter problem, Pope Gregory XIII (Inter Gravissimas) returned the Spring equinox to March 21st by decreeing that Thursday, October 4th, 1582, would be followed not by the 5th, but by Friday, October 15th. He jumped the calendar 10 days numerically, but did not change the weekly cycle of days.
So that this correction would be maintained, the Pope then decreed that leap years would occur only when the year was divisible by four, and only the centennial years that were divisible by 400 would be leap years. During a leap year, one day is added to the month of February (the 29th), as a correction. This method of calendar keeping was gradually adopted across Europe, and the world, and is nearly universal today.
England did not adopt the Gregorian calendar until 1752. By that time, eleven days had been gained so Wednesday, September 2, was followed by Thursday, September 14. The eleven days were skipped, but the weekly cycle of days, Sunday through Saturday, remained unchanged throughout the Middle Ages. (The French Revolution was a notable exception, when for a period of 14 years (1792-1806) a ten day week was adopted, the tenth day being the day of rest).
Inquiries made in 1932 to the United States Naval Observatory, in Washington D.C., and the Royal Greenwich Observatory in London, England, have also confirmed that the weekly cycle of 7 days as observed today has not been altered, and remains as it has been since before the time of Messias.
So both history and the Bible make it quite clear that Sunday is the first day of the week and Saturday is indeed the seventh day, which has been kept by the Jews for millennia, even to the present day. The true seventh-day sabbath of God has not been lost. Our Saturday is the same day of the week today as the seventh-day sabbath of creation.
Who Authorized the Switch to Sunday Keeping?
So what rationale exists for observing Sunday, the first day of the week, instead of Saturday, the biblical seventh day?
(quote)"It is the day of Christ's resurrection and Christians have transferred the solemnity of Sabbath to Sunday to honor that event." (end quote)
That sounds terrific, but where exactly does the Bible authorize that change? You see, I really do adhere to the Protestant claim of "the Bible and the Bible only" as the authoritative Word of God on the matter. The Sabbath was made by God as a memorial to the Creation, and that event was not overshadowed by or done away with by either the crucifixion or the resurrection.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Exo 20:11 For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: herefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exo 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual Covenant.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
The seventh day was sanctified forever as a day of rest from all work, as a memorial to the completion of Creation.
If Yah himself declared the seventh day to be sanctified and holy forever, then where in his Word, the Bible, does He rescind the keeping of the seventh day? Better yet, where in the Bible is the first day of the week declared to be a holy day to be observed in perpetuity, as a replacement for the sabbath? So just who made this change to Sunday?
The Presumed Authority of the Roman Catholic Church (prophetic end-times Jezebel)
... They (those who assert church authority) also refer to the example of the Apostles, who commanded to abstain from blood and from things strangled, Acts 15, 29. They refer to the Sabbath-day as having been changed into the Lord's Day, contrary to the Decalog, as it seems. Neither is there any example whereof they make more than concerning the changing of the Sabbath-day. Great, say they, is the power of the Church, since it has dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments!
The Augsburg Confession, Philip Melanchthon (1530), Article 28: Of Ecclesiastical Power.
Pope Sylvester I (314-335 A.D.) Decrees the Transfer of Sabbath Rest to Sunday:
Rabanus Maurus (776-856), abbot of Fulda and later archbishop of Mainz, Germany, was rated one of the greatest theologians of his age and probably the most cultured man of his time, and exceptionally learned in patristics. Besides, he was a zealous defender of the papacy and its teachings. In one of his works, he says,
Pope Sylvester instructed the clergy to keep the feriae. And, indeed, from an old custom he called the first day [of the week] the "Lord's [day]," on which the light was made in the beginning and also the resurrection of Christ is celebrated.6
Rabanus Maurus does not mean to say that Sylvester was the first man who referred to the days of the week as feriae or who first started the observance of Sunday among Christians. He means that, according to the testimony of Roman Catholic writers, Sylvester confirmed those practices and made them official insofar as his church was concerned. Hence Rabanus says elsewhere in his writings:
Pope Sylvester first among the Romans ordered that the names of the days [of the week], which they previously called after the name of their gods, that is, [the day] of the Sun, [the day] of the Moon, [the day] of Mars, [the day] of Mercury, [the day] of Jupiter, [the day] of Venus, [the day] of Saturn, they should call feriae thereafter, that is the first feria, the second feria, the third feria, the fourth feria, the fifth feria, the sixth feria, because that in the beginning of Genesis it is written that God said concerning each day: on the first, "Let there be light:; on the second, "Let there be a firmament"; on the third, "Let the earth bring forth verdure"; etc. But he [Sylvester] ordered [them] to call the Sabbath by the ancient term of the law, [to call] the first feria the "Lord's day," because on it the Lord rose [from the dead], Moreover, the same pope decreed that the rest of the Sabbath should be transferred rather to the Lord's day [Sunday], on order that on that day we should rest from worldly works for the praise of God.7
Note particularly, he says that "the same pope [Sylvester I] decreed that the rest of the Sabbath should be transferred rather to the Lord's day [Sunday]."8 According to this statement, he was the first bishop to introduce the idea that the divinely appointed rest of the Sabbath day should be transferred to the first day of the week. This is significant, especially in view of the fact that it was during Sylvester's pontificate that the emperor of Rome [Constantine] issued the first civil laws compelling men to rest from secular labor on Sunday, and that Eusebius, bishop of Caesarea, was the first theologian on record to present arguments, allegedly from the Scriptures, that Christ did transfer the rest of the Sabbath day to Sunday.

'Christians' (Roman Catholics) "felt" they had the authority.
63. Christ came to accomplish a new "exodus", to restore freedom to the oppressed. He performed many healings on the Sabbath (cf. Mt 12:9-14 and parallels), certainly not to violate the Lord's Day, but to reveal its full meaning: "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" (Mk 2:27). Opposing the excessively legalistic interpretation of some of his contemporaries, and developing the true meaning of the biblical Sabbath, Jesus, as "Lord of the Sabbath" (Mk 2:28), restores to the Sabbath observance its liberating character, carefully safeguarding the rights of God and the rights of man. This is why Christians, called as they are to proclaim the liberation won by the blood of Christ, felt that they had the authority to transfer the meaning of the Sabbath to the day of the Resurrection.

Doctors of the Church Decreed the Change to Sunday
... we find St. Cæsarius of Arles in the sixth century teaching that the holy Doctors of the Church had decreed that the whole glory of the Jewish Sabbath had been transferred to the Sunday, and that Christians must keep the Sunday holy in the same way as the Jews had been commanded to keep holy the Sabbath Day.

Cardinal Gibbons on Sunday
"... is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But, you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify."

Cardinal Gasparri's Catholic Catechism
Article 3. The Third Commandment of the Decalogue.
(203) What does God command in the Third Commandment--"Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath Day"?
In the Third Commandment-"Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath Day"--God commands that festival days--that is, days dedicated to Him--should be kept with divine worship, business and bodily toil being laid aside. 190
(204) What were the festival days in the Old Testament?
In the Old Testament there were many festival days, but the chief one was the Sabbath, the very name of which signifies the rest needful for the worship of God, whence it is called "the day of rest."
(205) Why is the Sabbath day not observed under the New Testament?
The Sabbath day is not observed under the New Testament, because in its place the Church keeps Sunday in honor of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the coming

down of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost; the Church also adds other festival days. 191
(206) To what, then, are we bound nowadays as regards keeping festival days holy?
As regards keeping festival days holy we are to-day bound to sanctify, in the manner proscribed by the Church, the Sundays and other Feast Days appointed by her 192
190 Exod. xx, 8; xxxi, 13; Deut. v, 12-15.
191 The commandment about keeping the Sabbath holy was not, if we consider only the day actually stated, a fixed and constant one, but a variable one, nor was it so much a moral as a ceremonial precept. If, however, we consider the commandment itself, it will be evident that it has its moral aspect and forms part of the natural law. Moreover the date at which the keeping of the Sabbath was removed was precisely that at which the rest of the Hebrew cult and ceremonial was to cease?namely the day of Christ's death. See the Catechism of the Council of Trent, III, iv, 4ff.

Great is the (assumed) authority of the Roman Catholic Church
You will have noticed, my dear children, that the day on which we keep the Sabbath is not the same as that on which it was observed by the Jews. They kept and still keep the Sabbath upon Saturday, we upon Sunday; they on the seventh day, we on the first day of the week. Hence the Jews close their shops and attend their synagogues upon Saturday, but Sunday is observed as the day of rest by all Christians, even by those sects who are separated from the Catholic Church. You will ask, what is the reason of this? It is because the Apostles, who were the first pastors of the Church, by the authority which [p. 107] they had received from our Blessed Lord to regulate all that regards his public worship, changed the day appointed for the keeping of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday ⬠from the seventh to the first day of the week. And why did they do so? To honour the glorious Resurrection of our Lord and the Descent of the Holy Ghost upon the Apostles, both of which mysteries were accomplished on the first day of the week. From this we may understand how great is the authority of the Church in interpreting or explaining to us the commandments of God ⬠an authority which is acknowledged by the universal practice of the whole Christian world, even of those sects who profess to take the Holy Scriptures as their sole rule of faith, since they observe as the day of rest not the seventh day of the week commanded by the Bible, but the first day, which we know is to be kept holy, only from the tradition and teaching of the Catholic Church.

LAODICEA, CANON 29. - Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ.
LAODICEA, CANON 49. - During Lent, the Bread must not be offered except on the Sabbath Day and on the Lord's Day only.
LAODICEA, CANON 51. - The nativities of Martyrs [actually, the death days, on which martyrs were considered to have been born to eternal life] are not to be celebrated in Lent, but commemorations of the holy Martyrs are to be made on the Sabbaths and Lord's days.

The Sunday Sabbath flagrantly contradicts the Bible:
It is worth its while to remember that this observance of the [Sunday] Sabbath, ⬠in which, after all, the only Protestant worship consists, ⬠not only has no foundation in the Bible, but it is in flagrant contradiction with its letter, which commands rest on the [7th day] Sabbath, which is Saturday. It was the Catholic Church which, by the authority of JESUS CHRIST, has transferred this rest to the Sunday in remembrance of the resurrection of the Lord. Thus the observance of Sunday by the Protestants is an homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the [Roman Catholic] Church.

Keenan's Catechism
[pg. 53]
Q. When Protestants do profane work upon Saturday, or the seventh day of the week, do they follow the Scripture as their only rule of faith?
A. On the contrary, they have only the authority of tradition for this practice. In profaning Saturday, they violate one of God's commandments, which he has never clearly abrogated; "Remember thou keep holy the Sabbath day."
Q. Is the observance of Sunday, as the day of rest, a matter clearly laid down in Scripture?
A. It certainly is not; and yet all Protestants consider the observance of this particular day as essentially necessary to salvation. To say, we observe the Sunday, because Christ rose from the dead on that day, is to say, that we should rest on Thursday, because Christ ascended to heaven on that day, and rested in reality from the work of redemption.
[ pg. 54]
Q. What do you conclude from all this?
A. That Protestants have no Scripture for the measure of their day of rest; that they abolish the observance of Saturday without warrant of Scripture; that they substitute Sunday in its place without scriptural authority; consequently, that for all this, they have only traditional authority. Yet Protestants would look upon a man who would do profane work after five o'clock on Sunday, or keep the Saturday, and profane the first day, as a victim of perdition. Hence we must conclude, that the Scripture, which does not teach these things clearly, does not contain all necessary truths; and, consequently, cannot be the only rule of faith.
[ pg. 108]
Q. Have you any other way of proving that the church has power to institute festivals of precept?
A. Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her - she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.

He quoted the biblical commandment which said the seventh day should be one of rest, and then stated: ‚¨ SThat is Saturday.‚¨ ù ‚¨ SNowhere in the Bible is it laid down that worship should be done on Sunday,‚¨ ù the Archbishop told a hushed, still audience. Sundaykeeping is not founded on Scripture
"It is a matter of wonderment to us to see Catholic clergymen using the word ' Sabbath ' for ' Sunday. ' We protest energetically against the Protestant mode of speech. It does not look well for Catholics to knuckle to such Protestant fantastic notions. Sunday is founded, not on Scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic institution. As there is no Scripture for the transfer of the day of rest from the last to the first day of the week, Protestants ought to keep their Sabbath on Saturday, and thus leave Catholics in full possession of Sunday." ⬠Catholic Record, Sept. 17, 1891.
The Catholic Christian Instructed.
[p. 202]
Q. What are the days which the Church commands to be kept holy?
A. 1st, The Sunday, or the Lord‚¨ "!s day, which we observe by apostolical tradition, instead of the Sabbath. ‚¨ ¶
Q. What warrant have you for keeping the Sunday, preferably to the ancient Sabbath, which was the Saturday?
A. We have for it the authority of the Catholic Church, and apostolical tradition.
Q. Does the scripture any where command the Sunday to be kept for the Sabbath?
A. The scripture commands us to hear the Church, St. Matt. xviii. 17. St. Luke x. 16, and to hold fast the traditions of the Apostles, 2 Thess. ii. 15, but the scripture does not in particular mention this change of the Sabbath. St. John speaks of the Lord's day, Rev. i. 10; but he does not tell us what day of the week this was, much less does he tell us that this day was to take the place of the Sabbath ordained in the commandments: St. Luke also speaks of the disciples meeting together to break bread on the first day of the week, Acts xx. 7. And St. Paul, I Cor. xvi 2, orders that on the first day of the week the Corinthians should lay by in store what they designed to bestow in charity on the faithful in Judea: but neither the one nor the other tells us, that this first day of
[p. 203]the week was to be henceforward the day of worship, and the Christian Sabbath; so that truly, the best authority we have for this is the testimony and ordinance of the Church. And therefore, those who pretend to be so religious of the Sunday, whilst they take no notice of other festivals ordained by the same Church authority, show that they act by humor, and not by reason and religion; since Sundays and holydays all stand upon the same foundation, viz, the ordinance of the Church. ...
[p. 204]
Q. What was the reason why the weekly Sabbath was changed from the Saturday to the Sunday?
A. Because our Lord fully accomplished the work of our redemption by rising from the dead on a Sunday, and by sending down the Holy Ghost on a Sunday: as therefore the work of our redemption was a greater work than that of our creation, the primitive Church thought the day, in which this work was completely finished, was more worthy [of] her religious observation than that in which God rested from the creation, and should be properly called the Lord⬠"!s day.
Q. But has the Church a power to make any alterations in the commandments of God?
A. The commandments of God, as far as they contain his eternal law, are unalterable and indispensable; but as to whatever was only ceremonial, they cease to oblige, since the Mosaic law was abrogated by Christ's death. Hence, as far as the commandment obliges us to set aside some part of our time for the worship and service of our Creator, it is an unalterable and unchangeable precept of the eternal law, in which the Church cannot dispense: but for as much as it prescribes the seventh day in particular for this purpose, it is no more than a ceremonial precept of the old law, which obligeth not Christians. And therefore, instead of the seventh day, and other festivals appointed in the old law, the Church has prescribed the Sundays and holydays to be set apart for God's worship; and these we are now obliged to keep in consequence of God's commandment, instead of the ancient Sabbath.

No Scriptural Warrant for Baptizing Infants or Observing Sunday
It is true, Catholics do not hold, as Protestants profess to do, that nothing can possibly be matter of divine revelation which is not contained in holy Scripture, nor do Protestants themselves in fact, though they do in words; for they believe the inspiration of holy Scripture to be matter of Divine revelation, yet this, from the very nature of the [pg 10] case, cannot rest on the testimony of Scripture itself. So, too, with the duty of baptizing infants, and of observing Sunday instead of Saturday as the Christian holiday, on which points Protestants believe and act as Catholics do, while yet they would be puzzled to find Scripture warrant for so doing. ...

Rebuilding A Lost Faith
Protestants often deride the authority of Church tradition, and claimed to be directed by the Bible only; yet they, too, have been guided by customs of the ancient Church, which find no warrant in the Bible, but rest on Church tradition only! A striking instance of this is the following:‚¨ The first positive command in the Decalogue is to ‚¨ SRemember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy,‚¨ ù and this precept was enforced by the Jews for thousands of years. But the Sabbath Day, the observance of which God commanded, was our Saturday. Yet who among either Catholics or Protestants, except a sect or two, like the ‚¨ SSeventh Day Baptists,‚¨ ù ever keep that commandment now? None. Why is this? The Bible, which Protestants claim to obey exclusively, gives no authorisation for the substitution of the first day of the week for the seventh. On what authority, therefore, have they done so? Plainly on the authority of that very Catholic Church which they abandoned, and whose traditions they condemn.

The Observance of Sunday Worship, and Rome's Civil Laws for its Enforcement
[pg. 139] Strange as it may seem, the State, in passing laws for the due sanctification of Sunday, is unwittingly acknowledging the authority of the Catholic Church, and carrying out more or less faithfully its prescriptions.
The Sunday, as a day of the week set apart for the obligatory public worship of Almighty God, to be sanctified by a suspension of all servile labor, trade, and worldly avocations and by exercises of devotion, is purely a creation of the Catholic Church.
It is not the Jewish Sabbath; it is, in fact, entirely distinct from it, and not governed by the enactments of the Mosaic law. It is part and parcel of the system of the Catholic Church, as absolutely as Christian marriage is or any other her sacraments, her festivals and fasts, her days of joy and mourning, her indulgences and her jubilees.
[pg. 149]
The Catholic Church created the Sunday and made the very regulations which have come down on the statute-books, and she still constantly, from her pulpits, her catechists' chairs, and the confessional, calls on her faithful to obey them, to sanctify the day, and refrain from all that desecrates it.
[pg. 152]
For ages all Christian nations looked to the Catholic Church, and, as we have seen, the various states enforced by law her ordinances as to worship and cessation of labor on Sunday. Protestantism, in discarding the authority of the Church, has no good reason for its Sunday theory, and ought logically, to keep Saturday as the Sabbath, with the Jews and the Seventh-Day Baptists. For their present practice Protestants in general have no authority but that of a Church which they disown, and there cannot be a greater inconsistency than theirs in asking the state to enforce the Sunday laws.
If it be a mere state holiday, most of the legislative provisions are a mere tyrannical interference with the liberty of a citizen; and it is a strange holiday on which people are forbidden to enjoy themselves, under penalty of fine and imprisonment. If it were merely this, it would be more sensible to punish the man who wore a long face on a public holiday than the man who laughed. It is not a mere legal holiday; it is the Lord.P

(end quote)
Source: Radio Replies, First Volume, by Rev. Dr. Leslie Rumble, M.S.C. and Rev. Charles Mortimer Carty, Copyright 1938, printed by Radio Replies Press, St. Paul 1, Minn., U.S.A., 1157 & 1159, page 235.

66N 17 3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
66N 17 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations, even the unclean things of her fornication,
66N 17 5 and upon her forehead a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
66N 17 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.
66N 17 7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.
66N 17 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go into perdition. And they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, [they] whose name hath not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast, how that he was, and is not, and shall come.
66N 17 9 Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth:
66N 17 10 and they are seven kings; the five are fallen, the one is, the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a little while.
66N 17 11 And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven; and he goeth into perdition.
66N 17 12 And the ten horns that thou sawest are ten kings, who have received no kingdom as yet; but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.
66N 17 13 These have one mind, and they give their power and authority unto the beast.
66N 17 14 These shall war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they [also shall overcome] that are with him, called and chosen and faithful.
66N 17 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
66N 17 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest, and the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her utterly with fire.
66N 17 17 For God did put in their hearts to do his mind, and to come to one mind, and to give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God should be accomplished.
66N 17 18 And the woman whom thou sawest is the great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
66N 18 1 After these things I saw another angel coming down out of heaven, having great authority; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
66N 18 2 And he cried with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and is become a habitation of demons, and a hold of every unclean spirit, and a hold of every unclean and hateful bird.
66N 18 3 For by the wine of the wrath of her fornication all the nations are fallen; and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth waxed rich by the power of her wantonness.
66N 18 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come forth, my people, out of her, that ye have no fellowship with her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues:
66N 18 5 for her sins have reached even unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
66N 18 6 Render unto her even as she rendered, and double [unto her] the double according to her works: in the cup which she mingled, mingle unto her double.
66N 18 7 How much soever she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall in no wise see mourning.
66N 18 8 Therefore in one day shall her plagues come, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judged her.
66N 18 9 And the kings of the earth, who committed fornication and lived wantonly with her, shall weep and wail over her, when they look upon the smoke of her burning,
66N 18 10 standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
66N 18 11 And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, for no man buyeth their merchandise any more;
66N 18 12 merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stone, and pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet; and all thyine wood, and every vessel of ivory, and every vessel made of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble;
66N 18 13 and cinnamon, and spice, and incense, and ointment, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep; and [merchandise] of horses and chariots and slaves; and souls of men.
66N 18 14 And the fruits which thy soul lusted after are gone from thee, and all things that were dainty and sumptuous are perished from thee, and [men] shall find them no more at all.
66N 18 15 The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning;
66N 18 16 saying, Woe, woe, the great city, she that was arrayed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearl!
66N 18 17 for in an hour so great riches is made desolate. And every shipmaster, and every one that saileth any wither, and mariners, and as many as gain their living by sea, stood afar off,
66N 18 18 and cried out as they looked upon the smoke of her burning, saying, What [city] is like the great city?
66N 18 19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, wherein all that had their ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
66N 18 20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.
66N 18 21 And a strong angel took up a stone as it were a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with a mighty fall shall Babylon, the great city, be cast down, and shall be found no more at all.
66N 18 22 And the voice of harpers and minstrels and flute-players and trumpeters shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft, shall be found any more at all in thee; and the voice of a mill shall be heard no more at all in thee;
66N 18 23 and the light of a lamp shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the princes of the earth; for with thy sorcery were all the nations deceived.
66N 18 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that have been slain upon the earth.
66N 19 1 After these things I heard as it were a great voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah; Salvation, and glory, and power, belong to our God:
66N 19 2 for true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, her that corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

The Jesuit Oath Exposed
"Go ye, then, into all the world and take possession of all lands in the name of the Pope. He who will not accept him as the Vicar of Jesus and his Vice-Regent on earth, let him be accursed and exterminated."
Professor Arthur Noble
[The following is the text of the Jesuit Extreme Oath of Induction as recorded in the Journals of the 62nd Congress, 3rd Session, of the United States Congressional Record (House Calendar No. 397, Report No. 1523, 15 February, 1913, pp. 3215-3216), from which it was subsequently torn out. The Oath is also quoted by Charles Didier in his book Subterranean Rome (New York, 1843), translated from the French original. Dr. Alberto Rivera, who escaped from the Jesuit Order in 1967, confirms that the induction ceremony and the text of the Jesuit Oath which he took were identical to what we have cited below. – A. N.]
When a Jesuit of the minor rank is to be elevated to command, he is conducted into the Chapel of the Convent of the Order, where there are only three others present, the principal or Superior standing in front of the altar. On either side stands a monk, one of whom holds a banner of yellow and white, which are the Papal colours, and the other a black banner with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones, with the word INRI, and below them the words IUSTUM NECAR REGES IMPIUS. The meaning of which is: It is just to exterminate or annihilate impious or heretical Kings, Governments, or Rulers.
Upon the floor is a red cross at which the postulant or candidate kneels. The Superior hands him a small black crucifix, which he takes in his left hand and presses to his heart, and the Superior at the same time presents to him a dagger, which he grasps by the blade and holds the point against his heart, the Superior still holding it by the hilt, and thus addresses the postulant:
(The Superior speaks:)
My son, heretofore you have been taught to act the dissembler: among Roman Catholics to be a Roman Catholic, and to be a spy even among your own brethren; to believe no man, to trust no man. Among the Reformers, to be a Reformer; among the Huguenots, to be a Huguenot; among the Calvinists, to be a Calvinist; among other Protestants, generally to be a Protestant; and obtaining their confidence, to seek even to preach from their pulpits, and to denounce with all the vehemence in your nature our Holy Religion and the Pope; and even to descend so low as to become a Jew among Jews, that you might be enabled to gather together all information for the benefit of your Order as a faithful soldier of the Pope.
You have been taught to plant insidiously the seeds of jealousy and hatred between communities, provinces, states that were at peace, and to incite them to deeds of blood, involving them in war with each other, and to create revolutions and civil wars in countries that were independent and prosperous, cultivating the arts and the sciences and enjoying the blessings of peace; to take sides with the combatants and to act secretly with your brother Jesuit, who might be engaged on the other side, but openly opposed to that with which you might be connected, only that the Church might be the gainer in the end, in the conditions fixed in the treaties for peace and that the end justifies the means.
You have been taught your duty as a spy, to gather all statistics, facts and information in your power from every source; to ingratiate yourself into the confidence of the family circle of Protestants and heretics of every class and character, as well as that of the merchant, the banker, the lawyer, among the schools and universities, in parliaments and legislatures, and the judiciaries and councils of state, and to be all things to all men, for the Pope's sake, whose servants we are unto death.
You have received all your instructions heretofore as a novice, a neophyte, and have served as co-adjurer, confessor and priest, but you have not yet been invested with all that is necessary to command in the Army of Loyola in the service of the Pope. You must serve the proper time as the instrument and executioner as directed by your superiors; for none can command here who has not consecrated his labours with the blood of the heretic; for "without the shedding of blood no man can be saved". Therefore, to fit yourself for your work and make your own salvation sure, you will, in addition to your former oath of obedience to your order and allegiance to the Pope, repeat after me:
(Text of the Oath:)
I_______________ , now in the presence of Almighty God, the blessed Virgin Mary, the blessed St. John the Baptist, the Holy Apostles, St. Peter and St. Paul, and all the saints, sacred host of Heaven, and to you, my Ghostly Father, the superior general of the Society of Jesus, founded by St. Ignatius Loyola, in the pontification of Paul the Third, and continued to the present, do by the womb of the Virgin, the matrix of God, and the rod of Jesus Christ, declare and swear that His Holiness, the Pope, is Christ's Vice-Regent and is the true and only head of the Catholic or Universal Church throughout the earth; and that by the virtue of the keys of binding and loosing given to His Holiness by my Saviour, Jesus Christ, he hath power to depose heretical Kings, Princes, States, Commonwealths, and Governments, and they may be safely destroyed. Therefore to the utmost of my power I will defend this doctrine and His Holiness's right and custom against all usurpers of the heretical or Protestant authority whatever, especially the Lutheran Church of Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and the now pretended authority and Churches of England and Scotland, and the branches of same now established in Ireland and on the continent of America and elsewhere and all adherents in regard that they may be usurped and heretical, opposing the sacred Mother Church of Rome. I do now denounce and disown any allegiance as due to any heretical king, prince or State, named Protestant or Liberal, or obedience to any of their laws, magistrates or officers.
I do further declare the doctrine of the Churches of England and Scotland of the Calvinists, Huguenots, and others of the name of Protestants or Masons to be damnable, and they themselves to be damned who will not forsake the same.
I do further declare that I will help, assist, and advise all or any of His Holiness's agents, in any place where I should be, in Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Ireland or America, or in any other kingdom or territory I shall come to, and do my utmost to extirpate the heretical Protestant or Masonic doctrines and to destroy all their pretended powers, legal or otherwise.
I do further promise and declare that, notwithstanding, I am dispensed with to assume any religion heretical for the propagation of the Mother Church's interest; to keep secret and private all her agents' counsels from time to time, as they entrust me, and not to divulge, directly or indirectly, by word, writing or circumstances whatever; but to execute all that should be proposed, given in charge, or discovered unto me by you, my Ghostly Father, or any of this sacred order.
I do further promise and declare that I will have no opinion or will of my own or any mental reservation whatever, even as a corpse or cadaver (perinde ac cadaver), but will unhesitatingly obey each and every command that I may receive from my superiors in the militia of the Pope and of Jesus Christ.
That I will go to any part of the world whithersoever I may be sent, to the frozen regions north, jungles of India, to the centres of civilisation of Europe, or to the wild haunts of the barbarous savages of America without murmuring or repining, and will be submissive in all things, whatsoever is communicated to me.
I do further promise and declare that I will, when opportunity presents, make and wage relentless war, secretly and openly, against all heretics, Protestants and Masons, as I am directed to do, to extirpate them from the face of the whole earth; and that I will spare neither age, sex nor condition, and that will hang, burn, waste, boil, flay, strangle, and bury alive these infamous heretics; rip up the stomachs and wombs of their women, and crush their infants' heads against the walls in order to annihilate their execrable race. That when the same cannot be done openly I will secretly use the poisonous cup, the strangulation cord, the steel of the poniard, or the leaden bullet, regardless of the honour, rank, dignity or authority of the persons, whatever may be their condition in life, either public or private, as I at any time may be directed so to do by any agents of the Pope or Superior of the Brotherhood of the Holy Father of the Society of Jesus.
In confirmation of which I hereby dedicate my life, soul, and all corporal powers, and with the dagger which I now receive I will subscribe my name written in my blood in testimony thereof; and should I prove false, or weaken in my determination, may my brethren and fellow soldiers of the militia of the Pope cut off my hands and feet and my throat from ear to ear, my belly be opened and sulphur burned therein with all the punishment that can be inflicted upon me on earth, and my soul shall be tortured by demons in eternal hell forever.
That I will in voting always vote for a Knight of Columbus in preference to a Protestant, especially a Mason, and that I will leave my party so to do; that if two Catholics are on the ticket I will satisfy myself which is the better supporter of Mother Church and vote accordingly. That I will not deal with or employ a Protestant if in my power to deal with or employ a Catholic. That I will place Catholic girls in Protestant families that a weekly report may be made of the inner movements of the heretics. That I will provide myself with arms and ammunition that I may be in readiness when the word is passed, or I am commanded to defend the Church either as an individual or with the militia of the Pope.
All of which I,_______________, do swear by the blessed Trinity and blessed sacrament which I am now to receive to perform and on part to keep this my oath. In testimony hereof, I take this most holy and blessed sacrament of the Eucharist and witness the same further with my name written with the point of this dagger dipped in my own blood and seal in the face of this holy sacrament.
(He receives the wafer from the Superior and writes his name with the point of his dagger dipped in his own blood taken from over his heart.)
(Superior speaks:)
You will now rise to your feet and I will instruct you in the Catechism necessary to make yourself known to any member of the Society of Jesus belonging to this rank.
In the first place, you, as a Brother Jesuit, will with another mutually make the ordinary sign of the cross as any ordinary Roman Catholic would; then one crosses his wrists, the palms of his hands open, and the other in answer crosses his feet, one above the other; the first points with forefinger of the right hand to the centre of the palm of the left, the other with the forefinger of the left hand points to the centre of the palm of the right; the first then with his right hand makes a circle around his head, touching it; the other then with the forefinger of his left hand touches the left side of his body just below his heart; the first then with his right hand draws it across the throat of the other, and the latter then with a dagger down the stomach and abdomen of the first. The first then says Iustum; and the other answers Necar; the first Reges; the other answers Impious. The first will then present a small piece of paper folded in a peculiar manner, four times, which the other will cut longitudinally and on opening the name Jesu will be found written upon the head and arms of a cross three times. You will then give and receive with him the following questions and answers:
From whither do you come? Answer: The Holy faith.
Whom do you serve? Answer: The Holy Father at Rome, the Pope, and the Roman Catholic Church Universal throughout the world.
Who commands you? Answer: The Successor of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus or the Soldiers of Jesus Christ.
Who received you? Answer: A venerable man in white hair.
How? Answer: With a naked dagger, I kneeling upon the cross beneath the banners of the Pope and of our sacred order.
Did you take an oath? Answer: I did, to destroy heretics and their governments and rulers, and to spare neither age, nor sex, nor condition; to be as a corpse without any opinion or will of my own, but to implicitly obey my Superiors in all things without hesitation or murmuring.
Will you do that? Answer: I will.
How do you travel? Answer: In the bark of Peter the fisherman.
Whither do you travel? Answer: To the four quarters of the globe.
For what purpose? Answer: To obey the orders of my General and Superiors and execute the will of the Pope and faithfully fulfil the conditions of my oaths.
Go ye, then, into all the world and take possession of all lands in the name of the Pope. He who will not accept him as the Vicar of Jesus and his Vice-Regent on earth, let him be accursed and exterminated.

Abraham Lincoln’s views about Rome, the Pope, the Vatican, the Jesuits and their influence on American society
December 11, 2011 James Japan
Abraham Lincoln blamed the cause of the American Civil War on Rome!
The following quotes are from the book, “Fifty Years in the Church of Rome” by Charles Chiniquy, who was a priest in the Roman Catholic Church for 25 years and later left the Roman church and became a Presbyterian pastor. He was a close friend of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln and had several personal interviews with him. The following are quotes from Abraham Lincoln during one of his talks with Charles Chiniquy. Read http://www.biblebelievers.com/chiniquy/cc50_ch61.html for the entire text. The emphasis in bold and comments in italics are mine.
“It is with the Southern leaders of this civil war as with the big and small wheels of our railroad cars. Those who ignore the laws of mechanics are apt to think that the large, strong, and noisy wheels they see are the motive power, but they are mistaken. The real motive power is not seen; it is noiseless and well concealed in the dark, behind its iron walls. The motive power are the few well-concealed pails of water heated into steam, which is itself directed by the noiseless, small but unerring engineer’s finger.
“The common people see and hear the big, noisy wheels of the Southern Confederacy’s cars; they call they Jeff Davis, Lee, Toombs, Beauregard, Semmes, ect., and they honestly think that they are the motive power, the first cause of our troubles. But this is a mistake. The true motive power is secreted behind the thick walls of the Vatican, the colleges and schools of the Jesuits, the convents of the nuns, and the confessional boxes of Rome.
“There is a fact which is too much ignored by the American people, and with which I am acquainted only since I became President; it is that the best, the leading families of the South have received their education in great part, if not in whole, from the Jesuits and the nuns. Hence those degrading principles of slavery, pride, cruelty, which are as a second nature among so many of those people. Hence that strange want of fair play, humanity; that implacable hatred against the ideas of equality and liberty as we find them in the Gospel of Christ. You do not ignore that the first settlers of Louisiana, Florida, New Mexico, Texas, South California and Missouri were Roman Catholics, and that their first teachers were Jesuits. It is true that those states have been conquered or bought by us since. But Rome had put the deadly virus of her antisocial and anti-Christian maxims into the veins of the people before they became American citizens. Unfortunately, the Jesuits and the nuns have in great part remained the teachers of those people since. They have continued in a silent, but most efficacious way, to spread their hatred against our institutions, our laws, our schools, our rights and our liberties in such a way that this terrible conflict became unavoidable between the North and the South. As I told you before, it is to Popery that we owe this terrible civil war.
“I would have laughed at the man who would have told me that before I became the President. But Professor Morse (Samuel Morse, the man who invented the telegraph and who also warned extensively about Jesuit infiltration and its undermining American culture) has opened my eyes on that subject. And now I see that mystery (also known as MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT of Revelation 17:5); I understand that engineering of hell which, though not seen or even suspected by the country, is putting in motion the large, heavy, and noisy wheels of the state cars of the Southern Confederacy. Our people is not yet ready to learn and believe those things, and perhaps it is not the proper time to initiate them to those dark mysteries of hell; it would throw oil on a fire which is already sufficiently destructive.
“You are almost the only one with whom I speak freely on that subject. But sooner or later the nation will know the real origin of those rivers of blood and tears, which are spreading desolation and death everywhere. And then those who have caused those desolations and disasters will be called to give an account of them.
“I do not pretend to be a prophet. But though not a prophet, I see a very dark cloud on our horizon. And that dark cloud is coming from Rome. It is filled with tears of blood. It will rise and increase till its flanks will be torn by a flash of lightning, followed by a fearful peal of thunder. Then a cyclone, such as the world has never seen, will pass over this country, spreading ruin and desolation from north to south. After it is over, there will be long days of peace and prosperity: for Popery, with its Jesuits and merciless Inquisition, will have been for ever swept away from our country. Neither I nor you, but our children, will see those things.”
